My project aims to question the individual’s perception of her place in the wider concept of Singapore’s growth, using psycho geography, factual accounts and individual memory, which can be flawed. My intention is to paint a fragmentary picture of Pasir Ris as a fleeting, liminal landscape, which is a bigger reflection of a nation constantly in transition, while also questioning issues on identity and displacement.
