| الملخص: | This study sheds light on the role and heightening importance of NGOs in one of the longest armed struggle in the world. Thirty years has passed since the Moros begun fighting for their right to self-determination in their homeland in Mindanao. Over the years, the Government of the Philippines has failed to provide a durable solution to the conflict that would finally lead to a lasting peace in Mindanao. Moreover the study emphasizes the ineffectiveness of the government in addressing the root causes of the conflict within a human security framework and how NGOs provide it thereby legitimizing their role not only in brokering a peace deal but also helping enforcement at the same time. |
