“海上风情” ：论周立波“海派清口”的上海文化意涵 = An analysis of Shanghai culture in Zhou Libo’s “Shanghai style small talk”

According to himself, “Shanghai Style Small Talk” does not belong to the usual concept of Shanghaiese Stand-up Comedy but a extensive and upgraded version of that. “Shanghai Style Small Talk” has developed from Shanghaiese Stand-up Comedy, Beijing Crosstalk, Hong Kong Stand-up Comedy and took the essence of all these three kinds of art performances. This thesis will focus on a analysis of “Shanghaiese Small Talk”, as well as discussion on the art of his performance, the highly concentrated Shanghai Culture within the performance and its social function to find out the future of “Shanghaiese Small Talk”. |
