Sunita d/o Tetbaahadur, Teo Yan Ping Esther, Koh Cecelia Caroline McMichael Nanyang Business School DRNTU::Business::Industries and labor 102 p. This project examines the declining average length of stay, its reasons and its implications on the Tourism industry in Singapore. Even though the number of tourist arrivals has increased over the years and is expected to reach 10 million by the year 2000, the average length of stay has declined over the past 10 years. The average length of stay was 3.50 days in 1986 and 2.9 days in 1995 and this decline is expected to continue in the future. We also deal with issues uncovered in our survey, which point towards the declining appeal of Singapore's attractions and relate this to its impact on the average length of stay.
