However, terminologies used by healthcare professionals in the Electronic Medicals Records may not be identical to the terminologies used by pharmaceutical companies. Terminologies used by Singapore hospitals are to a certain extent different from those of other English-speaking countries. In this paper, an in-depth analysis will be done in order to develop a system that is able to recognise the terms and terminologies used in the Electronic Medical Records.
