Simulator for port AGV algorithms
The Port of Singapore is considered as one of world’s busiest container ports transhipping a fifth of the world’s shipping containers and half of the world’s annual supply of crude oil. The port has been awarded the “Best Seaport in Asia” for 21 times out of the 23 years of the Asian Freight and Sup...

It is essential that researches are to be continuously done to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the system to cope with the increasing throughput as reported by the Maritime and Port of Authority of Singapore [2]. Driven by the trend of technology, many researchers are looking toward the usage of AGVs as the solution to handle the increased load. To incorporate the usage AGVs into the current system, it is essential that a well-planned algorithm is implemented for the decision making of the AGVs for routing and scheduling. This FYP aims to cater for such a need by creating an easy to use simulator focused solely on the testing and comparison of algorithms to facilitate users in their creation and optimization of port AGV algorithm.
