Description
Summary:The purpose of this Applied Research Project (ARP) report is to review and analyse the investment policies of life insurers in Singapore. As the society becomes more affluent, life insurance which provides protection as well as savings and investment, has become increasingly important. Life insurance companies, besides selling the more conventional policies, have Investment-Linked policies to meet the needs of the market. With the investment element becoming more important in life insurance products, returns of investments by life insurers are receiving increasing interest. It is hence important to look at the methods used by Singapore Life insurers to invest the premiums which constitutes the life insurance fund.
