The data collection methods comprise structured interviews and unstructured interviews, and a three-page questionnaire. The population for the study comprises graduates of 1993/1994 from the School of Accountancy and Business of NTU, and the organisations in NTU's Career Fair and recruitment drives. From the population frame, a sampling frame is drawn using disproportionate stratified random sampling. This sampling design is used because the School of Accountancy and Business graduates are divided into seven segments: Accountancy, Actuarial Science, Banking, Financial Analysis, Human Resource Management, Insurance and Marketing.
