Description
Summary:The project traces the evolutionary development of an organization uncovering the main influential factors that shaped its strategic direction. An extensive review of academic literature on various aspects of organizational development provided the theoretical basis for the study. A case study was conducted on Creative Technology, a well-documented and high profile company in the fast-pace multimedia industry. The case subject's historical development was recorded and analyzed. Thereafter, these developments were re-examined against the academic literature to compare and contrast the company's actual direction with the theoretical models covered in the literature review. The principal findings coincided with more recent literature which suggest that organizations are the influenced by a multitude of forces. The case study further revealed that these forces also interacted with one another in a continuous process.
