Using hand gestures to perform tasks that were done by using keyboard and mouse with such a small USB device brought us a sense of future technology.
Leap Motion Controller has the potential to become a good video game peripheral. It represents the current trend of the gaming industry which is to bring the visual world into reality. The author would like to take this chance to develop a gaming using a Leap Motion Controller.
In order to make a good game, the author has studied motivations and psychological needs of people to play games, and summarized two most common motivations which are Achievement and Competition. The game features was designed and developed based on these two motivations.
Although lacking of user tests, the game shows its potential to be a great breakthrough of balance ball games. The successful development of the game also proves the gaming potential of Leap Motion Controller. |
