The results were collected through photographs, weighing and visual inspection. The factors that were studied includes effects on concentration of chitosan in its solution, pH of the solution and weight loss on chitosan coated samples. The results showed that the chitosan coated samples stored in a fridge and an air-conditioned room had successfully inhibited microbial growth. Also, the effectiveness of the chitosan coating were highly dependent on storage condition and concentration of chitosan in its solution.
