This is mainly due to the vast growth in technology. However, there is also a slight decline in television viewership and usage. Therefore, there is a need to re-evaluate what a television should be like and how its design can be improved to cater to users’ needs or reinvented to cater to new market segments. The main objective of this project is to conduct research on televisions with other image display devices through field research, market research and online research. Analyses are done to better understand the market, target audiences and competitors. A new image display design will thus be proposed with the insights gained. The new design is thus reviewed by a few focus groups of target users to reassure the feasibility of the design. The new design is then further edited to the feedbacks given by them accordingly. Towards the end, amendments made and final design are discussed to see how it benefit the users. Also, future developments are suggested for future possible projects to work on.
