| Summary: | The advent of big data has brought untold benefits across industries worldwide. Data visualization unlocks the potential of data analytics, by communicating findings to end users effectively.
The objective of this project is to create a big data visualization platform, to make data visualization more accessible to individuals. Processing was chosen as a programming language and Twitter was chosen as a big data set. System and user testing were conducted on the platform prototype. Data visualizations and interactive media applications were created to serve as proofs of concept.
Details of further investigations, possible other applications and recommendations for future work on the platform are discussed. |
