Movie subtitles is one of the many methods which helps movies convey messages to wider range of audiences. The main purpose of subtitles is to enable cultural exchange between different spoken language audiences. This thesis uses examples from three Jack Neo’s movies to see the relationship between the subtitles and the motive of the movie. Thus, hope to see the importance of subtitles in movies. |
