重新建构女性的自我认同 : 以苏童“红粉”系列小说为例 = Re-constructing woman’s self identity : a case study of Su Tong’s “Hong Fen” series

It involves all-inclusive women’s issues, such as gender discrimination, women’s liberation, feminism, and other physical and emotional desires. Most of the feminine literature works are written from the female authors, and it is an indisputable fact in the literacy world. Is it because female authors can understand women better, so they are able to explore the deep and genuine sentiment of women’s own inner world, and write a touching feminine literature work? The answer is definitely not so. In fact, male authors also can listen well and express the inner voice of women, and well-known vanguard author, Su Tong, is a good example. “Feminine” is the eternal topic of Su Tong’s literature work, such as novels from “Hong Fen” series, Qi Qie Cheng Qun (Wives and Concubines), Hong Fen and Fu Nv Sheng Huo, have successfully portrayed different images of women from different generation, and profoundly reflect the origin of their tragic fates. In this thesis, three novels from “Hong Fen” series, Qi Qie Cheng Qun (Wives and Concubines), Hong Fen and Ling Yi Zhong Fu Nv Sheng Huo, have been chosen to be the focus point for text interpretation, as well as analysis how country’s social systems and power “repress” women’s identities, and how they manage to re-construct their identities, in order for survival, with achieving self-worth and self-liberation. |
