Summary: | This research aims to understand the graduate drug scene in Singapore by understanding what causes highly educated individuals to want to take drugs. It also aims to explore the drugs taken by highly educated individuals, where they take these drugs and their attitudes towards drugs. The data in this paper was gathered through semi-structured interviews with respondents who were selected through non-random sampling methods. This research also aims to examine the profile of a drug user that the state attempts to create. In addition, the respondents were asked to give their opinions about the state created profile of drug users. The respondents were also asked about their opinions on how the variables of race, educational qualifications and social class impact drug usage. |
