This is achieved, first by developing a framework based on a literature review, in which the potential influencing factors are identified. Secondly, a case study is conducted on a Singapore subsidiary of a very successful multinational corporation in the electrical and electronic industry. The actual influences on this subsidiary are then identified and compared with the influencing factors.
