The input transformer provides an intuitive User Interface of controls in the form of a mobile controller to aid the use of the cloud gaming system specifically for the mobile platform via webpages. The purpose of this project is to convert and manipulate the user input from the desktop platform to the mobile platform. Since implementation focuses on the client side of the cloud gaming system, the mobile controller can be achieved by combining JavaScript and jQuery, to facilitate an unobtrusive Document Object Model (DOM) scripting. The technical design focuses on mouse and keyboard inputs, the input values from the player are used to interact with the cloud gaming system. Information was collected via prototyping, offline testing and online testing to create the mobile controller. The User Interface design focuses on the how the player would play the game, placement of the keys, portability, usability options and screen resolution. The final product is a portable mobile controller that interfaces with the existing games in the cloud gaming system. The mobile controller is not restricted to the cloud gaming system and can be integrated onto a web game. In the future, with the possibility of add-ons in mobile web browsers, the player-customisable mobile controller shall be generic for web games as a compatible add-on for mobile gaming.
