Summary: | The study of computer graphics is becoming popular in recent years as it sees itself being used in new areas. Computer graphics is now not only limited to the monitors of computers, but is also playing a big part of movies and the media. The advancement of mobile technology has also seen the use of computer graphics on smart phones and tablets. 3D modelling and free-form deformation or FFD, is a subset of computer graphics which creates and represents real world objects in the virtual environment. This report covers the development of a 3D free form deformation software using the trivariate Bernstein polynomial equation as suggested by Sederberrg and Parry, and looks at the results and limitations of such a program, suggesting future developments. |
