Description
Summary:Hyperpigmentation is characterized by heighten production or accumulation of melanin due to increased numbers of melanocytes, melanocytic dendrites or activity of melanogenic enzymes and could be easily identified by the emergence of different shades of either reddish-purplish or brown lesions. Arbutin which arises as the most effective drugs, were encapsulated within micelle and delivered into B16-F10 mouse melanoma cells to investigate on effectiveness of this drug delivery system. The result has shown that micellar Arbutin was a bit less efficient compared with free arbutin, but still effective compared with blank micelles and the control. And micellar Arbutin also is able to delivery Arbutin through the skin (0.027mg/ml within 24h), after using porcine skin in vitro skin permeation study.
