Summary: | In modern days, technology is constantly changing rapidly. Therefore, there is a need to innovate, improve and enhance our equipment so as to keep up with time. This project aims to design and create a lens that can make a light beam perfectly parallel so as to reduce as much reflection and diffraction as possible, while applying it to a sensing element to improve its performance. Laser beams combining is to take spatially separated beams with the distinct source in parallel and test it for far-field measurement using 2D far-field measurement VI (LabVIEW software). The next part involves improving LDX-3232 current source’s software using the LabVIEW software. LDX-3232 is a high compliance laser diode current source, and it is intent developed for control of high compliance voltage devices such as quantum cascade laser (QCL) diodes. The original software application doesn't have many functions. Thus, my objective is to add more functions to the application as requested by my supervisor. My task is to create a V-I curve using this application, which can only measure current one time by one time as of currently. In conclusion, both projects involve upgrading of a particular component to enhance their functionality to get the precise results. |
