Summary: | The non-renewable energy demand has been increasing over few decades and uprising of global warming drive us to look for alternative that is environmentally friendly and renewable energy. This motivates the development in air conditioning system which generates new adsorption cooling system instead of using conventional vapour compression system. This report presents the performance study on two bed adsorption cooling system coupled with heat recovery system for silica gel, AQSOA Zeolite-01 and AQSOA Zeolite-02. Computer software such as MATLAB and REFPROP are used for mathematical modelling and simulation. Optimization of operating parameters for adsorption cooling system has done to obtain optimal performance. In the simulation, this two bed adsorption cooling system is able to deliver 3 kW cooling capacity which is similar to a gasoline four-seated car. The comparison of results with different adsorbent working pairs are presented to find the optimal performance under different conditions. |
