It would be discussed by introducing the identity theory first to show the relationship between culture identity and national identity and their role in shaping Cross-Strait relation. Secondly the currently new forming Taiwanese culture identity would be introduced. Finally it would be explained why Taiwanese culture identity is forming. This paper intends to explore the currently forming new Taiwanese culture identity and discuss its impact in shaping the relationship between China and Taiwan. It would be discussed by introducing the identity theory first to show the relationship between culture identity and national identity and their role in shaping Cross-Strait relation.
