The main objective of this health promotion project was to promote awareness of Stroke in Singapore so that the community can be educated and gain more knowledge on the health risk of Stroke. At the same time, we also hoped that the community would adopt the suggested preventive measures to reduce the risk of Stroke. To raise awareness of our health promotion campaign, both the hard copy and online platforms were used to reach out to the community. Hard copy posters were displayed for a period of 1 month around NTU premises. The designed posters were also uploaded onto to our Facebook page “KNOW STROKE” to further extend the reach to the community. An online survey was also implemented and conducted to access the effectiveness of our health promotion campaign. The results collected from this online survey were promising, given the short amount of time. Based on the 84 survey responses, 100% of the respondents felt that the posters have increased theirs awareness and knowledge on Stroke. In conclusion, we have achieved our objective of this health promotion campaign on Stroke using both the offline and online material.
