The end devices are to be deployed in several kinds of whole sky imagers (WSI) system as a working environment sensors to collect the temperature and relative humidity readings of these various kinds of the system. These readings from each of the whole sky imagers system will be transmitted to a data logging coordinator which stores readings for further analysis. The first half of the project targets to tackle on the two main aspects which are; monitor and test a working collection of end – devices to be in each of the whole sky imagers system, and modifying of the program codes of end – devices to improve the data of transmission in the whole sky imagers system. The second half of the project is to improve the energy efficiency of the end – devices by integrating with solar panels. The effect of the solar panel on the lifespan of the batteries will be discussed in greater detail. In additional there is a need to redesign the circuit of the end – device base on the most effective way of using the solar panels. This enhancement of the project enable it to be deployed readily in the whole sky imagers system so as to meet the main objective for this project. description |
This is a report to document the further enhancement made to the existing wireless sensor network that consists of environment sensors.
