And on the big part of that, there are constant research on building fully amphibious vehicles. Therefore, ultimately, the objective is to design and fabricate an amphibious vehicle that in the future will be able to house modules like sensors and robotic arms. With the ability to suit this vehicle to different operational needs, it will enable the vehicle to be used in different missions such as search and recovery missions. For this project itself, the main aim is to fabricate the base vehicle only. This project will involve a five step procedure. Firstly it will be to design the vehicle with the help of a 3D design software. After that, with a bill of materials acquired, material and parts procurement will start. With that step completed, fabrication of the vehicle will start. After all the parts are cut to dimensions, they will then be assembled together. Finally, the vehicle will undergo testing on both land and water. The testing will then be considered successful when the vehicle is able to travel on both land and water without hiccups. These hiccups includes motor stalling or water seeping into the vehicle when it water.
