Description
Summary:Wind turbine is an equipment designed and implemented to extract mechanical power from the nature wind and convert it into various types of energy such as mechanical or electrical (majority in modern applications) energy. Wind turbines are developed into various types and are well utilized all over the world nowadays. Multiple wind turbines in array arrangement form up a wind farm. Energy generated by wind farms can be directly used for domestic supply, or can be transmitted to rural areas through connections to the power grid. In this paper, a specific type of wind turbine, a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator based Wind Turbine Power System will be designed and illustrated in detail through a simulation model study based on the Matlab Simulink analysis tools.
