With the proliferation of nightclub entities in Singapore, this paper attempts to discover the ‘sacredness’ of nightclubs. It seeks to uncover the significance of the nightclub space in the everyday lives of the frequent clubbers and how the site translates into a place of joy, transcendence, and community to them.
