The unmanned aerial vehicle was first originated as a military means of warfare and surveillance. However, due to technological advancement, recent years have seen a wide increase in the usage of these aerial vehicles in many areas of aviation such as aerial photography and search-and-rescue operations. With the rapid increase of unmanned aerial vehicles in the airspace, the need to manage air traffic to allow safe and efficient operations of drones has become critical. This project aimed to develop an air traffic control system to monitor and manage air traffic to ensure the safety and efficiency of all registered drone operations.
