Summary:This project is developed to implement a game prototype that applies in the area of gamification and to assess its effectiveness during the design. The Game Engine adopted is Unity and the programming language used is C#. The game is built on the foundation of education towards waste management in today’s society – in particular the impacts of waste and tackling how to reduce waste by incorporating one of the big ‘R’, Recycling. The target of this game is adolescent youths and it aims to give them a strong foundation on waste concepts since young, which would translate over time into their action and behavior. The project also studies how to interface the game prototype with a database system and lastly, how to evaluate the effectiveness of gamification in the design of the prototype.
