Description
Summary:Every student in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University is required to do a final year project as part of the requirement of the bachelor’s degree program. The FYP is then assessed and evaluated by the supervisor and examiner. The examiner allocation process is done by the FYP Examiner Allocation System (FEAS). The very first FEAS was built in year 2007 by a group of students as their final year project. It aims to solve the problem that the FYP coordinator has to do a lot of manual work in assigning duties to the faculties and planning the examination time table. Over the years, several issues were identified with the system and it becomes outdated. Therefore, there is a need in improving the current FEAS. After a detailed analysis of the existing FEAS, some new features and changes have been brought out by the team members, which aims to provide a better performance, higher scalability, better security and further facilitate the needs of the FYP coordinator.
