Summary:Race has a prominent place in Singapore’s national policies. The political ideology of meritocracy, multiracialism and affirmative action proclaims racial equality and protection for minority groups. The purpose of this study examines the effectiveness of Singapore politics and policies in eradicating racial inequalities. This study will analyse of data from secondary sources, conducting an interview to understand the ground sentiments of Singaporeans, and drawing insights from the case study on the United States. Several conclusion like the effectiveness of policies and the GRC system shall be drawn from the research and recommendations like ground-up approach shall be given on how the current situation of Singapore can be improved.
