Investment in resources to collect, preserve and make NUS’ scholarly output accessible to the world is considerable but worthwhile. Our initial deposits were students’ electronic theses and dissertations (ETD). An interface was developed to automatically transfer the theses from the Registrar's Office's ETD system. From ETD, we moved on to staff publications, music recordings and patents. Harvesting of staff publications (mainly journal articles and conference papers) is a huge challenge. To harvest more than 50,000 staff publication metadata took longer than planned. This presentation will further elaborate on the challenges we faced in ingesting the metadata. 2013-08-23T23:00:00Z text application/pdf https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/irday_2013/ir2013/presentations/2 https://ink.library.smu.edu.sg/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1003&context=irday_2013 2013 Institutional Repository Day Institutional Knowledge at Singapore Management University Library and Information Science
