Unfortunately, 70 percent of those stuck in the lower economic rungs in Asia, are women. That is why Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, founder of microfinance institution, Bandhan, has chosen to target his services towards women. According to him, empowering this group by just a little can go a long way in improving their livelihoods. |
