We present the key functionalities of CAS and describe a case study on the implementation of CAS in a first-year programming course. Data from a student survey indicates that the personalized dashboard provided by CAS contributed to enhancing their ability to clearly identify the extent to which the students have acquired or not acquired the competencies tested in an assessment and motivated them to catch up on the competencies not yet acquired.
