Biography: Director, Behavioural Sciences Institute, SMU, 2009-present Interim Dean, School of Social Sciences, SMU, 2007-2008 Prof David Chan was appointed as the Interim Dean of the newly set up School of Social Sciences from 2007 to 2008. The School of Economics and Social Sciences was split into the School of Economics and the School of Social Sciences in April 2007. He was the Vice Provost for Research, Graduate Studies & Faculty in 2008. He was Deputy Provost of SMU and Deputy Director of Wharton-SMU Research Centre from 2008 to 2011. David Chan received his PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. He is Lee Kuan Yew Fellow, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Behavioural Sciences Institute at Singapore Management University.
