The structures of isolated compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, especially 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy. Cycloartocarpin (14) exhibited strong antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant S. aureus with the same MIC values of 2 μg/mL.
