Description
Summary:The study objective aimed to compare 2 asphalt concrete road pavement repairing methods, the conventional method (Bond coat) and the Thermal bonding method, in term of repairing procedure time, by Activities-Based Costing (ABC). Because of the new technology Asphalt TP, that was developed for easy, fast, effective road pavement maintenance and repairing, different from the complicated conventional method. The study was performed on local roads in 5 municipals of Chiang Rai, emphasis on skin patching. The researcher used Bond coat method on the first test section and Thermal bonding method on the second test section, and then measured the procedure time of each test section. The study was repeated 5 times in each municipal for the accuracy of data. The study results that the duration of asphalt concrete road pavement repairing by Bond Coat method and Thermal Bonding method are different by statistics significant of .05 The concrete road pavement repairing time of Bond Coat method is 70 minutes for 1 square meter area, or 6.86 square meters per day (8 hours), or 1,810.29 square meters per year (264 workdays). Meanwhile, the concrete road pavement repairing time of Thermal bonding method is 46 minutes for 1 square meter area, or 10 square meters per day (8 hours), or 2,754.78 square meters per year (264 workdays).
