Description
Summary:The purposes of this independent research were 1) to study the work happiness levels of members of staff who have been working at Li Hospital, 2) to study the processes affecting happiness level of personnel. The study was both a quantitative research and a qualitative research. In the case of quantitative research, a Happinometer was adjusted from Maslow’s Hierarchical Theory of Motivation by Thai Health Promotion Foundation. Data had been collected through questionnaires, while the sample consisted of 240 participants who have been working at Li Hospital except employees from other organizations and daily hire employees. Statistics used for data analysis included Summated Rating or Likert Method which the opinions were divided into 5 levels. In addition, this research also interviewed members of staff in the Happy Work Place Committee and 5 other relevant people, in order to obtain the factors that made employees happy during working time. The result of this study revealed that the happiness levels of a total of 215 respondents which represented as 90 per cent of the total sample scored at 3.59 points out of 5. In the process of making Li Hospital employees work happily, it was found that the hospital could create some good processes in order to make employees mostly satisfied. However, there were few processes which did not receive a good score and as a result these factors could not make the employees happy during working time.
