Summary:The purposes of this research was to develop visual thinking strategies lessons to promote English speaking and creative writing abilities among Mathayom suksa 5 students. The target group was 30 Mathayom Suksa 5 students who enrolled in the English Presentation course (En32202) in the first semester of academic year 2013 at Chaehomwittaya school, Lampang. The target group had been taught for 22 hours. There were two types of research instruments. The first type used for designing and implementing the lessons which consisted of the questionnaires of students' needs and interests, proto-syllabus and and 10 lesson plans using visual thinking strategies . The second type used for evaluating the effectiveness of lesson plans and English speaking and the creative writing abilities evaluation forms used after studying each lesson. The data obtained were analyzed for means, standard deviation and percentage. The results were as follows: 1. The visual thinking strategies lessons were effective and suitable for students' knowledge and abilities. 2. After using visual thinking strategies lessons, the students' speaking abilities passed the preset criterion at good level. 3. After using visual thinking strategies lessons, the students' creative writing abilities passed the preset criterion at good level.
