Description
Summary:Stroke is one cause of death and long-term disability worldwide. Effective rehabilitation requires repetitive and intense practice. It challenges to motivate the patient to complete this intensive therapy as the patients are often boring and having no motivation. Therefore, an augmented reality musical system using EMG signals as input is proposed in this study. The idea is to employ a combination of the augmented reality game, biofeedback technology and the effects of music therapy in order to attract the patient's attention. Linear prediction filter method is applied to verify the effect of music to the attention level. The result demonstrates that the effect of music can increase subject's attention. © 2011 IEEE.
