Description
Summary:© 2016 IEEE. Recently, the educational system in Thailand has encountered with a resignation problem among students who are learning in universities. There are a number of students who resign from the universities before graduation. One reason behind this problem is the curriculum of targeted faculty that the students want to learn is not match with their preference or their aptitude. The proposed Decision Support System (DSS) for Targeting Higher Education focuses on helping the prospective students in finding the matched faculty and providing information of the curriculum of their targeted faculty. This paper proposes three models of the DSS which are Scoring Model, Financial Model, and Mix Model. These models will help the students to make a decision when they want to find what faculty or what curriculum they should learn by considering from several DSS variables. The proposed models are implemented by using a web-based application. Testing of the system will be conducted with the high school students in order to evaluate the system in several aspects.
