Summary: | The purpose of this research is to know how far students' thinking develops as a result of introducing word problems at the beginning of an instruction. The research is done at MTs N Warudoyong Kota Sukabumi where two groups of students we compared. One group of 40 students were given the treatment, while another group of 39 students were used as the control group. Data were obtained through observations, tests and questionnaires. This research shows that introducing word problems at the beginning of an instruction can develop students' thinking, this includes creative thinking, critical thinking and reflective thinking. Therefore, this way of learning can be employed as an approach in learning. |
