Description
Summary:Increasing the productivity is important for the industry advancement in indoneisa which a labor intensive industry The worker productivity will increase if the workload does not exceed the work capacity. This research main is to determine aerobic capacity and to developed prediction equation for oxygen consumtion of industrial workers women by finding relationship between heart rate, anthropometric variables, and demographic variable in order to estimate energy expenditure. Validity test of the prediction equation developed then validated by doing manual material handling simulation and jogging.<p>Fifteen women workers aged 20-25 years participated in this research to find maximum physical capacity using maximal test protocol and to develop prediction equation of energy consumption using submaximal test protocol. Another 10 women workers aged 20-25 years participated to validate the equation. The equation obtained using multivariate linear regression There is statistically significant difference between direct measure and prediction equation for oxygen consumption in material handling simulation and jogging activity.
