Summary:This research aims to determine the relationship between leadership style to the readiness of the knowledge management implementation within an institution with the assessment that was done by Bailey (2007) and Clark (2004). The questionnaire form is received as many as 15 pieces for the executive respondents and 80 respondents to the official or staff, and then analyzed using the SPSS software program. After the analysis of the questionnaire was obtained with a knot that leaders of democratic leadership style most appropriate in the implementation of knowledge management readiness. Autocratic leadership although can be received by the employee, but the concept does not match the demands of Knowledge Management (KM). While delegatif leadership style, has not been felt appropriate in the implementation of KM, because it has not been trusted in the running of the subordinate delegated tasks.
