Description
Summary:Gas field X has been producing since August 1990 and this field is considered as a giant wet gas field with potential reserve Inital gas in place is around 15 TCF (trillion cubic feet). One of the main problems of this field is the productivity of several wells bothered by the obstacles in pipe transmission or what we called bottlenecking.<p>Bottlenecking caused high pressure drop on certain pipe segment that unites two or more pipes behind, so it looks like the flow narrowed and the giving high backpressure to the wellhead. To solve this, a model has to be made to intimate the field conditions. From run the model, we could identify which segment has high pressure drop, then we fix it by two methods, first by changing the pipe inside diameter with the optimum one and the second by installing parallel pipe next to the bottlenecked pipe. We, then, calculate the economical aspect for each solution, for determining the best method of these two approaches.
