Description
Summary:The world has changed. In old days, a company which had a good manufacturing that produced a high quality product won the competition. Later, a company which had high quality product with a good brand image won the competition. Nowadays, all of the above is not sufficient; the business landscape becomes tougher. The company has to rely on their human resources and talents to be creative and innovative to face the challenges. As such, the roles of Human Resources Department in a company become more important. Human Resources Department should have its value propositions for the

company to win the competition. Human Resources Department has to bring value that makes the company sustainable. It should think from the business and line of sight of the customers to attract, retain and develop the right talents in the company. Human Resources should no longer focus on the transactional activities such as recruitment, training, payroll, compensation. These Human Resources Service deliveries are given and must be the minimum requirements. On top of the above deliverables, they should be able to be an employee advocate, human capital developer, functional expert, strategic partner and leadership role to bring value to

the company. This paper is not just a theory but a real thing, an idea that has been conceptualized based on some theories, past experience, test results and now is being implemented. It took some time to migrate the Human Resources to its new role. It continues to evolve to build Human Resources to the new roles and business demand.
