Summary:PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Unit Pemabngkit Cirata (PT PJB UP Cirata) is one of the largest hydroelectric power in Indonesia. Efficiency and reliability of units to <br /> <br /> <br /> company success indicators. For that operation and maintenance of generating units that became the core business of the company should be run in accordance with a predetermined plan. To support this activity required an effective inventory management and efficient operation and maintenance is not compromised due to lack <br /> <br /> <br /> of supplies in storage. <br /> <br /> <br /> Problems faced by PT PJB UP Cirata is a stock that came too late. This is indicated by the value of service level for the last three years is still below the target set. <br /> <br /> <br /> Unavailability of materials in the warehouse cause the operation and maintenance schedules are not on time and resulted in the opportunity to sell electricity into a little more. In addition there is an increase in value of inventory due to a lack of coordination between sectors. This happens because there are no proper inventory control strategies. <br /> <br /> <br /> To solve this problem, the authors tried to map out the problems that exist in each stream of material management. After that created a diagram to find the root of the problem linkage problem. At least four major problems that exist in the field of materials management is not efficient procurement of consumable materials, not specifically appropriate material control, the status of inventory in the warehouse that does not exist and the lack of coordination among parties involved in the field of materials management. <br /> <br /> <br /> After obtaining the root of the problem, then create alternative solutions for each root of the problem. The best solution is taken based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of each alternative solution. The best solution is taken is the provision <br /> <br /> <br /> of consumable materials twice a year, specific material control strategy (consisting of the identification field, VMI and the matrix material), stock opname plus and SCM meetings weekly. To complement these solutions, constructed diagrams inventory control strategies that are comprehensive, effective and efficient to PT PJB UP Cirata.
