In order to utilize geothermal energy to its maximum potential, it is necessary to build new geothermal steam production plants across the nation so that power plants may receive more supply and generate more electricity. One of many geothermal steam production plant that has been built recently is Lahendong Unit IV. <br /> <br /> <br /> Analysis on piping system stress will be done in this final project. The object of analysis will be the piping system on scrubber area of Lahendong Unit IV geothermal steam productin facility. Piping stress analysis will be done with the help of AutoPIPE software and based on the code ASME B31.1 Power Piping. Stress analysis with AutoPIPE enables us to see the stress distribution across the piping system and its safety factor. <br /> <br /> <br /> Result of the analysis shows that piping system in scrubber area of Lahendong Unit IV is relatively safe from failures caused by sustain load with stress ratio of 0.68, earthquake occasional load with ratio of 0.92, wind occasional load with ratio of 0.57, and thermal expansion loads with stress ratio of 0.99. In the other hand, parameter study on load variation is done to know failure condition that may happen to the piping system. Based on the parameter study, piping system shall fail if the pressure reaches 550 psi, temperature 375oF, earthquake load 0.325 g, and wind speed of 500 kmph. text
