Summary:&#65279;As one of the country that located on earth’s ring of fire, Indonesia has hugegeothermal energy potential. To be able to produce electricity from it, one musthave vast knowledge upon part and component that being used in geothermalenergy powerplant.One of the important component on a geothermal energy isdemister.One of the geothermal energy powerplant that currently being built is locatedin Dieng. It is a mini scale geothermal powerplant that produce 10 MW ofelectricity.Calculation of dimension of its demister is necessary to guarantee aseparation between liquid and vapor of steam before it enters turbine. To do so,one will calculate the diameter and height of demister. Moreover, the strength ofthe vessel need to be considered too. So it is necessary to design the vessel tocomply with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1.After that, finite element analysis is conducted to analyse the strength of vesselwall.The outcome of this research is to produce demister dimension such as insidediameter, height, wall thickness, flange, pipe, reinforcement plate, and support.It also tells about the integrity of the vessel under operating condition andhydrostatic test condition. The technical drawing of the vessel and itscomponentis given at the end. <br />
